nezumi Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 Usual shortcuts for zoom were not working and I was wondering what could it be. Finally I have checked shortcuts and check screenshot what I had set by default for zoom in and zoom out đ¤ F15 and F16... I dont know what keyboards others have, but mine goes only up to F12 đ So I can only assume it was set like this by default. I have changed that to usual shortcuts and it works perfectly. So call me crazy but its either bug or I have set my shortcuts to non existing keys and forgot about it. For now working theory is that thats a bug. (I just learnt that on widows one can get SHIFT+F3=F15 and SHIFT+F4=f16. Still - its impossible to set it the way presented on screenshot because it will be described as combination of keys). Quote
GarryP Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 I see the same shortcuts (F15 for âZoom Inâ and F16 for âZoom Outâ) in the Photo/Miscellaneous section of the Shortcuts but, in the âView â Zoomâ menu I see âZoom Inâ is Ctrl+= (equivalent to Ctrl++) and âZoom Outâ is Ctrl+- However, in the Photo/View section of the Shortcuts there is a âZoom â Zoom Inâ, set to Ctrl+= and a âZoom â Zoom Outâ set to Ctrl+- Iâm wondering what the difference is between the âViewâ Zoom In/Out and the âMiscellaneousâ Zoom In/Out. Edit: Ah, Iâve just found out that F15 & F16 were added for tablet zooming on Windows: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/138904-affinity-publisher-for-macos-192/ Maybe those options in Miscellaneous should be renamed to âTablet Zoom Inâ and âTablet Zoom Outâ to make that clear. So this looks like itâs not a bug, as such, but rather some confusingly-named options. Quote

GarryP Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 You might not have seen that I recently edited my earlier post to give extra information about F15/F16 being for tablet zooming on Windows. Quote
bbrother Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 Yes, I didn't see this info after editing the post. So this demystifies the F15 and F16 keys in âMiscellaneousâ Zoom In/Out. Quote
MikeTO Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 I realize these shortcuts were added for virtual F15/16 on tablets, but FYI the "extended" Mac keyboard (the one with the number pad) goes up to F19. debraspicher Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 Shift modifier to F-keys can be used to access the higher keys in Windows until F24 I believe but never checked to see if it works in Affinity. Quote
nezumi Posted January 27, 2024 Author Posted January 27, 2024 Ah.. weird think though - by default ctrl++ wasnt working which prompted the search in the first place. It was set correctly and keyboard is working so I wonder what it could possibly be... Anyways thank you for info everybody. After resetting everything works so sorry for starting new thread apparently for no reason. Just some local, random weirdness happened. Quote
