Hi.  I just installed the 2.3 Affinity upgrades, and am having difficulty installing my STORE items.  I made the mistake some time back of creating directories for different categories of store items, and now a lot of my store items are failing to reinstall. This never mattered with Affinity 1, but I am getting the impression that Affinity 2 expects a specific directory structure, and I don't know what that it IS.

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bruce Duncan

If you open the Account window in any of your V2 Affinity apps, what do you see?

Hi @Gully Foyle,
welcome to the Affinity Forums!

What app and kind of store items do you want to install – and what indicates the failing installations to you?

It shouldn't matter where on your drive you save the downloaded items, but it does matter where you install them. Assets are installed via the Assets Panel, brushes via the Brushes Panel (you can install both vector and pixel brushes in any persona with a Brushes Panel, but after installation they will only appear in their associated personas).

Alternatively to download store items before installing them you can optionally use the "My Account" feature for auto-installation from inside the app. https://affinity.help/designer2/English.lproj/pages/GetStarted/registerAndSync.html

Also, if you install a V2 app and run it for the first time while V1 is still installed, the V2 app should offer to inherit custom settings from V1 and content that you installed in V1. Alternatively, you may trigger the “migration prompt” at a later time, as shown by Carl123:

• MacBookPro Retina 15" |  macOS 10.14.6  | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
• iPad 10.Gen.  |  iOS 18.5.  |  Affinity V2.6
