Publisher 2.4 Move data entry. Error when scrolling the mouse over the Scale field

Recommended Posts

It looks as though most of the settings are not honouring the correct number of decimal places, e.g., with decimal places set to six:

No Modifier Key

  • Horizontal - uses six decimal places
  • Vertical - uses six decimal places
  • Distance - uses five decimal places
  • Angle - uses no decimal places
  • Rotation - uses no decimal places
  • Scale - uses one decimal places

Alt Modifier Key

  • Horizontal - uses six decimal places
  • Vertical - uses six decimal places
  • Distance - uses six decimal places
  • Angle - uses one decimal place
  • Rotation - uses one decimal place
  • Scale - uses two decimal places

Shift Modifier Key

  • Horizontal - uses four decimal places
  • Vertical - uses four decimal places
  • Distance - uses six decimal places
  • Angle - uses no decimal places
  • Rotation - uses no decimal places
  • Scale - uses no decimal places

Note: When using the Shift Key Modifier, the number of decimal places used in alternate fields varies depending on the field with focus e.g.,

If Horizontal or Vertical has focus, they use four decimal places and Distance uses six but if Distance has focus, it uses four while Horizontal and Vertical use six...

A mouse wheel scroll doesn't work at all for me on Monterey, only the keyboard and click-dragging the field label so I can't test but regardless it seems to be inconsistent across the board and between v2.3.1 and v2.4.0...

Hi @Chris B,

I think this has been logged previously but it's probably worth mentioning there appears to be no consistency across the majority of panels, i.e., there are similar issues with the Paragraph, Text Style and Transform panels among others, and some where keyboard increments don't work at all...

Hi @Chris B,

That's really good to hear and thank you @Sean P for logging, it would be great to see this fixed in a future update... :)
