Belov Alex
Please forgive me for bothering you, but I didn't find an answer to this question either on the forum or in the user manual. Is it possible to set Affinity Photo to open each new screenshot as a new document? Many screenshot application can open screenshots in an external software. But if I take a screenshot and it automatically opens as a new document, then the next screenshot won't be opened in a new window/document until I save or close the previous one. In Photoshop I just created as many documents as I needed, but in Affinity I didn't find such an opportunity. Thanks in advance for any help. Hangman
Hi @Belov Alex and welcome to the forums, If you make your screenshot and then use File > New from Clipboard in Affinity Photo that should create a new document for each screenshot, i.e., individual tabs that you can save using unique file names... Is that what you're looking for or something a little different? Belov Alex
Hello @Hangman. This is not exactly what I was looking for. But this could be a workaround if I configure the screenshot application not to open new image in Affinity Photo, but to place it to a clipboard. In any case, thanks a lot for the advice. Hangman
Hi @Belov Alex, I guess a lot depends on what you're looking to achieve and the options available in your screenshot software... I use Shottr on Mac which doesn't have the option to specify which software to automatically open the screenshot in but if I'm making individual screenshots I take the screenshot, click the copy icon and then use New from Clipboard or simply click-drag the screenshot directly into Affinity Photo. If I'm making multiple screenshots at the same time, I set the default in Shottr to Save to a specified folder then select all, right-click and use 'Open with' selecting Affinity Photo so all images open as individual documents...
