CJPITTS Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Hi, Does anybody know how to do this? All I want to do is select an object and increase it by 2000% Chris Quote
Hangman Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Hi @CJPITTS and welcome to the forums, In the Transform Panel, with the Width and Height linked, type *2000% after either value... e.g., W: 10 mm *2000% Callum 1 Quote Affinity Designer 2.6.3 | Affinity Photo 2.6.3 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.3 MacBook Pro M3 Max, 36 GB Unified Memory, macOS Sonoma 14.6.1, Magic Mouse HP ENVY x360, 8 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 2500U, Windows 10 Home, Logitech Mouse

GarryP Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 I think it’s worth mentioning that increasing a value by a certain percentage is not the same as increasing a value to that same percentage. For example: increasing x by 200% would give you 3*x [ x+(2*x) = 3*x ], whereas; increasing x to 200% would give you 2*x [ x*2=2*x ]. So, with a width of 50, using w+200% in the Transform Panel (or anywhere else that allows calculations) would give you a new width of 150; But, with a width of 50, using w*200% would give you a new width of 100. This might sound trivial but it can make a big difference that could cause problems later in the life of the document if you don’t notice a mistake early. Quote
