cbuchert Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 I'm having trouble printing. Beyond the buggy print dialog (print preview kind of does what ever it wants when the dialog opens, then gets its state straight when I jog its memory by selecting a page orientation), the print output doesn't match the design work. This happens with dashed line types and is not happening with normal line types. Attached is a side-by-side showing the discrepancy (left is screen, right is PDF in Preview). The problem also happens when printing directly. Not gonna lie. I'm really rooting for you guys. I hate giving more money to Adobe. That being said, I need to know that what displayed on the screen will be how my work prints. You always proof your work, but it's been over two hours of me dinking around with lines and prints. It's cost me at least a year's subscription to Illustrator. It feels bad. Thanks in advance! Let me know if you need more from me. I'd love to help make Designer a tiny little bit better and put the freaking nails in Adobe's coffin. Chris. Quote
loukash Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Have you tried exporting to PDF first and then print the PDF? Also, please always post details of your setup: Affinity version, computer model, OS, etc. Callum 1 Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Sonoma > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 18 > Affinity v2
