Hello, good morning,

imac 27" os monterey 12.7

I installed xnview mp but I can't view the .aphoto files, I know they can be viewed, could you tell me the way?

Consider that I'm a complete novice on Mac

Thanks in advance...

I'm not at the Mac at the moment but I vaguely remember that cataloging and thumbnail preview of non-image document types (which is what Affinity documents technically are) need to be manually enabled in XnView preferences.

MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2

The .afphoto file format is supported by XnView MP (a thumbs preview), but you have to activate Show all graphic formats in ToolsSettings...GeneralGeneral.

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan
☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2
