pixel brush is more than one pixel

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm not sure what I did and can't fix it. Used the pixel brush just fine the other day. Now, it is more than one pixel - and I am definitely using the pixel brush. Uploads are example of what one click looks like and two settings menu.

I'm headed out of town and wanted this finished before, but I guess not.

Thanks to anyone who can point out what I accidentally changed.

this happens in case the layer is not correctly aligned to integer position, or layer DPI has changed by stretching.

Use the transform panel to check layer position (while move tool is active).

Document must use pixel as units (not point or any other physical unit).

To verify, you may add a levels adjustment

  1. choose alpha channel
  2. set white point to 50%
  3. set black point to 50%

This will remove the issue temporary. I have masked the adjustment layer to the left side.

The better solution is to correct the layer position back to whole integer.
