FranciscoMejia Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 In Publisher v2, if you select grid isometric within 'Grid and Snapping Axis', and then hit "Create Plane Set" the isometric section doesn't pop up as it used to in V1. I noticed that if you switch to Designer persona then it works, but not in Publisher persona which is annoying as it forces you to go back and forth when working on isometric grids. Quote
GarryP Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Welcome to the forums @FranciscoMejia In Publisher V1, on Windows, in the Publisher Persona, after ticking “Create plane set”, the Isometric Panel does not appear but it does appear when doing the same in the Designer Persona. And this is also what happens in V2. It appears that there was a difference between the Windows and macOS V1 versions but I’m not sure what the expected behaviour is for V2. Quote
Staff NathanC Posted January 20, 2024 Staff Posted January 20, 2024 The Isometric panel is a Designer exclusive feature so the panel not prompting in the Publisher persona in V2 (and V1 Windows) is the expected behaviour, and the V1 MacOS Publisher persona behaviour was likely an oversight. It could be argued that the panel would prompt if the user has access to the Designer Persona in Publisher, but at that point it would be feature request. GarryP and FranciscoMejia 1 1 Quote
FranciscoMejia Posted January 22, 2024 Author Posted January 22, 2024 I see. I am coming from Mac V1 so was very used to this just prompting seamlessly inside Publisher. But I get the rationale now, thought it was just a bug. Thanks Quote
