Camber Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 Hi there, I've been using Affinity Designer on Mac for may many years but I noticed that the grid has stopped being consistent when zooming in recently (actually from today). I'm on MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1 Affinity Designer 2 2.3.1 When creating a new document (of any given dimensions) and zooming in past a given point (5500%), the grid starts to fail and shows various patterns of rectangles and squares. This bug does not appear with simple grids without subdivisions. I'm wondering if it's just my device or if other people are able to replicate this too. Thanks, Screen Recording 2024-01-19 at 10.06.58.mov Quote
Staff NathanC Posted January 19, 2024 Staff Posted January 19, 2024 Welcome to the forums @Camber, It looks like this is because you have the pixel grid enabled in your Grid and axis settings as well as the automatic grid. The pixel grid is only visible at larger magnification levels which is why you're only seeing this past a certain point, and with both visible concurrently it can look quite confusing as they are the same colour and opacity by default. Turning the pixel grid off will prevent this. https://affinity.help/photo2/English.lproj/pages/DesignAids/grids.html Camber 1 Quote
