Affinity Photo V 1.10.8 slow startup

Recommended Posts

Hello !

The program has been starting very quickly for 3 weeks.
Now, for about 3 days, the program takes about 20 seconds to start instead of 5 seconds.
What is the reason for this? (this only happens when the program is started for the first time)

If the program is closed and then reopened, it will work again very quickly

Mac Mini M2 16 GB
Sonoma 14.2.1
Affinity Photo 1.10.8

Thanks in advance !

Hi Lee!

Thanks for Your reply !

But; why did the app start within 5 seconds in the last couple of weeks and

start this behavior for. days now ?

I just use the app and didńt change anything ?

That confuses me a little ;)

During those last weeks did you quit the app or just hide it?

I have just restored the app with Time machine and used the backup frpm 2.january

The first start takes a little bit longer because of spotlight

The restart the mac and give it a try and the starts within 5 seconds.

So I will watch out, ift the app changes behavior and what happens before...
