Visual bug with selection? Designer v2.3.1

Objects I have selected are not outlined in blue, and snapping guides do not appear when I move them. I can confirm the object is in fact selected because it is highlighted in the layer panel, and I can still manipulate objects as normal, but there's none of the usual visual indicators that the object is selected inside the main window.

This bug applies to text, curves, and shapes (and possibly other object types, these are just the ones I'm using), and I've tried all the following things to fix it to no avail: changing tool, changing persona, restarting the application, deselecting everything. I only updated to v2.3.1 earlier today, and I have never had this issue before doing so. Also this problem is sporadic, it might occur for 15-20 minutes of a session, then go away for a bit, only to come back again later. But restarting the application does not consistently make the problem stop.

Hi @kipo281 and welcome to the forums,

I would suggest trying a factory reset of Designer by holding the Ctrl Key when launching the App. When you see the Clear User Data screen, leave the first three options selected then click 'Clear' and let the app finish launching to see if this fixes the issue...

Do you see the same problem in Affinity Photo and Publisher if you have these apps as well?

Hi @Hangman, thanks for the factory reset suggestion, that did seem to fix the issue. I don't have Photo or Publisher, so I'm not sure if the problem would occur in those apps or not.
