I need to subtract everything from the background so that the final file is not layered and will not trigger a preflight issue for the printer.  I have a gazillion of these to create and the Vistra logo is the only thing that will not cut out (subtract from the background).  I am using an eps version and when I open the logo by itself in Designer, it is in curves so I am not sure what the issue is.  Thank you in advance for taking the time to walk me through it

Blue background needs to stay.  I need all of the text and logo to subtract (cut-out) of the blue background so the elements are not layered.  Essentially, the white substrate would show through the cut-outs and nothing would actually print in those areas.

You can do this using a compound, the only issue was the eps file, you need to open that and paste the curves because the eps embedded will not work in a compound.
