I have been exporting PDFs for years using Affinity and have found that one font is now not working as expected when exported.

Other fonts used in the document are selectable in the PDF but the font in question remains like it is rasterised.

The same Affinity File, when using ⌘ + P (File-->Print) but instead of printing, use the PDF dropdown (in the print dialogue window) to Open in Preview (as a PDF) ... the Concorde font text is selectable in the PDF.

The font is Concorde. It is not corrupted in Font Book. It has been used for a long time without problems. It works in Apple .Pages app to create selectable type in the PDF.

Attached is a test file and font.

Can anyone help with this mystery?

Thanks for your report @GazzaDownUnder!

As confirmed above, this is a known issue in the current release which has been fixed in our latest beta version.

If you wish to sign up for the beta version and test this fix for yourself, you can find out how below -

I hope this helps :)

Thanks for quick response. I've managed to locate some OTF versions of the same font to replace the Postscript Type 1 fonts.

I only use the 4 weights (regular, italic, bold, bold italic) and with the limited testing it seems the fonts match perfectly.

I'll hold off on signing up for Beta release, and wait for the public release.  Hopefully it won't affect my other fonts (others seemingly work just fine).

🙂
