PeterFinne Posted January 15, 2024 Posted January 15, 2024 Let’s say I warp a text and then apply a layer effect to it, for example outline. The effect doesn’t cover the whole text but gets cropped like in the attached image. Quote
loukash Posted January 15, 2024 Posted January 15, 2024 Yes, looks like a bug. To work around it, create a blank rectangle without fill or stroke, larger than your warp group with effect would be, and nest the warp group without the effect inside. Then apply the effect to the parent blank rectangle which now acts as an invisible wrapper. loukash Posted January 15, 2024 Posted January 15, 2024 Besides, for outlines as in your example, I'd strongly recomment to avoid the layer effect whenever possible and use a vector stroke instead. Staff Lee D Posted January 15, 2024 Staff Posted January 15, 2024 @PeterFinneThanks for your feedback. I've added it to an existing report we have for this issue thats with the developers. loukash 1 Quote
loukash Posted January 15, 2024 Posted January 15, 2024 It's the same on desktop, by the way. The workaround is the same, too: Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Sonoma > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 18 > Affinity v2
