Select hidden objects

Why this doesn't work for me? Can't select hidden objects.

As far as I know, the “Select Hidden Objects” menu item you are using is only ‘active’ for the other functionalities in that sub-menu and it is not a general purpose “Select Hidden Objects” function.

I don’t know if it is possible to select hidden objects via a selection from the canvas itself.

Hi @md_germany!

As Garry mentions above 'Select Hidden Objects' in the Select Same menu will only control if these hidden layers are included in part of the Select Same functionality - it does not control the direct selection behaviour of objects on the canvas.

From the relevant helpfile:

Quote

To specify whether Select Object or Select Same will include or exclude hidden objects in its resultant selections, select or deselect Select Hidden Objects from the corresponding command's submenu.

At this time, I believe you can only manually select hidden objects from the Layers Studio, and not on the canvas directly.
