Frozner
Hi Serif Team Two times I lost a few hours very detailed artwork. Ive tried to find out temporary folder for autosave files, but that folder isnt exist. Restore option didn't works after re-open. Do you have plan to develop that folder in next update with option to choose location for it? This is super annoying loosing hours of works !!! Many thank

Autosave information is saved, at the interval you specify in the application Preferences or Settings. When you say the Restore option didn't work after re-open, do you mean the option wasn't offered, or when you restored the recent work wasn't included? The Restore option works in two ways (when it works, which sometimes for some users it doesn't): If you were working on a file you had never saved (thus unnamed), when you restart the app after a crash it will prompt you to restore that file. If you were working on a file you had previously saved (thus named), when you try to reopen that file the application will prompt you to restore. If you do not try to reopen the file, the application will not ask. And this is further influenced by the options in your system or in the application to reopen previous files when the application starts. Frozner
Ok let me explain what happen when i start a new project a naming it and saving on external SSD. Interval autosave are set up on 30s. Project has been finished and ive tryed save it as jpg, so app stopped responding, i was waiting long enough, after that ive had to close program. When i tried open this project again, i dont remember what exactly that wrote, but something about not enough space or something like that, disc SSD has a lot of free space for that, whole project taken 16mb. Anyway, project has only saved files what I add at the beginning. Ive tried find temporary files in library but that files not exist at all. Autosave working but where app keeping that temp files? In the Autosave autosave folder, but I'm not sure that will help you. If you're not being prompted, you probably won't be able to use the files that are stored there. Though you might be able to, if you rename them from something.autosave to something.afphoto for example. If you are being prompted, but the recovery isn't giving you the info you wanted, the folder definitely won't help. I'm not sure where you'll find that folder on a Mac, but I can look later. Edit: for me, for example: /Users/Walt/Library/Application Support/Affinity Designer 2/autosave Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.3, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.

walt.farrell
On macOS, you should find the autosave files in ~/Library/Application Support/Affinity Designer 2/autosave E.g., for me, in /Users/Walt/Library/Application Support/Affinity Designer 2/autosave Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.3, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.
Frozner
I dont have that folder as ~/Library/Application Support/Affinity Designer 2/autosave. Just that folder ~/Library/Application Support. Affinity didn't create that backup folder in my library. Maybe there is manual option to create it ?

Make sure you're looking at ~/Library (your personal Library directory) and not just /Library (the system's Library directory). If you're using Finder, you may need to enable the display of hidden folders.
