j3rry Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 My very first project with Affinity Designer is an abstract picture. I learned a lot. I only missed the fill layer. What is the equivalent in Designer? In my project I have used a simple rectangle shape. deepblue Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 Hello j3rry, I really like your picture. How did you get the surfaces of the individual elements right? Quote -- Apple 2020 Mac Mini M1 Chip (16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD) Affinity V2 Universallizenz 2.5.7 + always latest beta
j3rry Posted January 11, 2024 Author Posted January 11, 2024 @deepblue,The texture I used comes from the Daub papers I bought here in the Affinity Shop. There is only one texture which I have placed as a layer over everything in linear burn mode. Quote 24" iMAC Apple M1 chip, iPad Air 11", MACOS Sonoma & iPadOS, Affinity V2-Universallizenz
deepblue Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 Hi j3rry, thank you for your message. I just looked at the add ons for Affinity Designer - Daub papers. I also watched the video about it. For example, how can I change the surface of an object? We already know a color gradient. But how do I get this additional structure? Does this only work with paid addons? j3rry Posted January 11, 2024 Author Posted January 11, 2024 No you can whatever you want load in a layer and apply to your object(s) with a layer effect like multiply, overlay, soft light … Quote 24" iMAC Apple M1 chip, iPad Air 11", MACOS Sonoma & iPadOS, Affinity V2-Universallizenz
TrentL Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 Great work j3rry, I really like that style. It reminds me a lot of some abstract 1980s album cover. j3rry 1 Quote
