Specialissima Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 Hello, I can not figure out in Affinity Designer 1.10.8 how to make a dashed lines tall, as can be done very easily in Illustrator with dashed lines. I am trying to make ribbing for collar-cuff in clothing. See photo. Only thing I see in Affinity Designer is "stroke width", not stroke weight (in Illustrator stroke weight controls the dash height). Hoping this is possible in Designer or else I have to crawl back to Illustrator. Thanks. Quote
Aammppaa Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 You are correct that the stroke weight will define the dash height Ensure that you select Dash as the line type, then enter appropriate values in the first two Dash inputs. These will need to be small values (less than 1) as they are a ratio of the line weight. I used stroke weight 30pt, Dash 0.07 & 0.125 This matched your example quite well. Once you have values you like, you can save the settings as a Style, or make a sample line and save as an Asset.
