Larry Molineux Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 After installing the Designer 2 update I am getting an error message from windows that is attached. It also deleted the Icon from the taskbar and any other link will just get you the window error message. This happened before on an update with my Designer 1. Apparently the update is moved to a different directory or something. Please help to solve problem Quote
v_kyr Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 Was the initial ADe 2 version maybe installed as Administrator? - However you can try to uninstall that ADe version completely and then freshly/newly install the ADe v2.3.1 release (preferable via the MSI exe installer instead of the MSIX one). Larry Molineux Posted January 9, 2024 Author Posted January 9, 2024 Not sure. Will I lose all the templates and asset items if I un-install all the program? I also have Photo 2 and it is giving a link to update and might create the same problem with that program? Quote
Staff Callum Posted January 10, 2024 Staff Posted January 10, 2024 Hi Larry, I believe this is the result of you creating a shortcut to the sandboxed MSIX exe which will change location with each update. If this was previously a desktop shortcut the following guide should explain how to create one that wont have this issue. Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
