mikeyS
Hello everyone, I'm a architect and I use mostly PS or other programs. Now I found Affinity and it looks like a very interesting and simple alternativ to the Adobe stuff. But now i have a problem: I would like to transform a pictures that fits into the wall angle ( in PS it is quite simple (transformation tool) but I cant find any thing that works in Affinity. The pictures should distort to the angel (look at the screenshot). I tried "convert to curves" but it just change the shape but not transform the pictures... Thanks for any help! Have a good one
Staff MEB Posted April 13, 2016 Staff Share Posted April 13, 2016 Hi mikeyS, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) One way to do it is applying a Live Perspctive filter to that layer going to menu Layer ▸ New Live Filter Layer ▸ Perspective Filter. mikeyS
Hej MEB, Thank you for the very fast help :) I can't see the "New Live Filter Layer" or am I on the wrong drop down menu? Thank you for any help! Cheers
Staff MEB Posted April 13, 2016 Staff Share Posted April 13, 2016 I'm sorry :( I didn't noticed you were using Affinity Designer. The Live Perspective filter in only available in Affinity Photo. My bad. There's no way to do this in Designer. It doesn't have any Perspective/distortion tools yet and they will only eventually work on vector based objects when available. mikeyS
Thanks for your help! Can't believe that they have no transformation tool...even GIMP have one...So I will sadly go back to PS or Ai. Cheers
Staff MEB Posted April 13, 2016 Staff Share Posted April 13, 2016 Hi mikeyS, Affinity apps are still quite new compared to GIMP or any Adobe app which already have a few years of development. Some features are not available yet but are already planned or on our roadmap for inclusion in a future update. PixelPest
AI can transform raster images and GIMP has vital Bézier-tools? Just asking. Cheers P.
