Patrick Thompson
When I assign some Effects (FX) to a layer, I often want to copy and paste those same effects onto another layer. I would expect there to be a 'Copy FX' option on the right-click menu for a layer but I'm not seeing anything related to that. Is there any easy way to copy and paste Layer Effects? Gear maker
Patrick, the only way to copy the fx is to do a copy and paste inside (cmd c on the original and cmd shift v for the paste inside). This will also copy any attributes from the original, color, stroke, gradient, etc. Quote iMac (27-inch, Late 2009) with macOS Sierra
Patrick Thompson
Ah, I see now in the Edit menu there is a Paste FX. Exactly what I want. Thanks.
Gear maker
Oh, you are in AP not AD. Quote iMac (27-inch, Late 2009) with macOS Sierra
LoBu
Something is wrong in the AP edit menu. Why is an effect inserted with "Paste Style" and not with "Paste FX"? That I don't understand. I think these commands are reversed.
Staff MEB Posted April 13, 2016 Staff Share Posted April 13, 2016 Thanks for the heads up LoBu. You're right, something looks wrong here. Issue logged to be looked at. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
