peexel Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 Working with a mini Mac I'm encountering these problems (sorry, I'm new to the Mac operating system) but I can't dock the windows like I do with windows and having floating windows is very inconvenient, it's possible that on the Mac the windows can't be docked like Windows and the only way is to stack them on top of each other, which for some functions I find absolutely inconvenient. color sampling, in Windows the tool samples any color including the interface, on the Mac it only samples the inside of the drawing area, and this is very inconvenient. (I noticed that to do this you need to use the Mac color swatch in the window menu, at least in Italian) Quote
NotMyFault Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 on Mac you can use only 2 stacks, one to each side of the canvas. It is not possible to use more than 1 docked stack at a single side. NotMyFault Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 I switched from PC to Mac to escape all the Windows specific bugs, only to find out Mac has at least the same number of Mac specific bugs, some hurt even more: Editing Procedural texture formulas broken Handling of multiple displays broken numeric input by muse wheel often not possible Some keyboard shortcuts memorised from PC will bring you into trouble, like cmd-Q (for @) will quit most app lacerto 1 Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps.
