Yes, there is a snap to grid feature. You can find the information here: https://affinity.help/publisher2/English.lproj/index.html?page=pages/DesignAids/snapping.html?title=Snapping

You can snap a text object to the grid but not a sentence. Moving a sentence can only be done within a text frame or text object.

In all Affinity programs you can turn on/off snapping using the snapping icon (magnet icon) Snapping_icon.png.79671f38cc0389541e335ae3377ff1f1.png on the main toolbar.
You can also adjust individual snapping options in the snapping panel, which you can open by clicking the arrow icon next to the magnet icon or going to View → Snapping...

Below is a screenshot of the snapping panel. It gives you more control and an overview of all available options. If I were you, I would experiment with these options to see what suits my needs, because without more information we don't know what you're trying to do or prevent.

Regarding "sentence" you possibly want to use a Baseline Grid. It can be set for a document or individually for a text frame while a paragraph style and a text frame also can get excluded from being affected by a Baseline Grid.
