Sam Salem Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 Hello everyone, hope you're well! I bought this image from Adobe Stock hoping it would be transparent without a background But it turned out to be as it is in the attached picture. Of course, I've got a vector file. Please help with this topic Haitham Salem. Networks engineer. Best wishes Quote
firstdefence Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 That just looks like a screengrab of a flare with a transparent background showing but that isn't transparent. If you have a vector what file type is the vector? Sam Salem Posted January 3, 2024 Author Posted January 3, 2024 Hello firstdefence, Thank you for responding. the file extension is .Ai Quote
firstdefence Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 Ok, Affinity apps will open .Ai files as long as the file has the PDF portion for compatibility and should also have transparency. Which app/s do you have? Sam Salem 1 Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... firstdefence Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 It looks like it isn't handling the import well and is creating fragment images. In short, Affinity isn't able to make anything out of these by Adobe software generated files in terms of vectors. - Thus buying such stuff for Affinity software is money wasted in vain. You can easily tryout any of those free flare ones here (mostly EPS files) in order to see what I mean ... https://www.vecteezy.com/free-vector/lens-flare https://www.vecteezy.com/vector-art/11135871-vector-transparent-sun-light-special-lens-flare-light-effect-front-lens-sun-flare-vector-blur-in-radiance-light-decor-element-horizontal-star-beams-and-spotlight-star ... and so on ...
