mr.burns
Hi, I try to get familiar with the gradient tool inside Affinity designer and have two questions: 1. Is there any possibility to have a gradients on a curved path and not only on a straight line?2. Is there any possibility to have gradients for outlines?Thanks... PixelPest
1. You might find an answer here in a thread from yesterday: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/18801-can-i-create-a-gradient-that-follows-a-path/ 2. Sure. Cheers P. mr.burns
Hi PixelPest, thanks for reply. But the gradient for outline is not what I expected. May I made it not clear enough but I want the gradient follow the circle and not just spread vertically. But I think the link you posted gives a little hope that the developer team will add some nice gradient functions in the future. Hopefully thay add some 'gradient on path' and 'outline gradient' feature ;-)
PixelPest
Then 1.+ 2. means the same. :D At least a textured brush will do what you want: Cheers P.
JimmyJack
In the specific case of the circle you can use the "Conical" gradient type. Make sure the start and end color nodes are the same for a seamless effect.
mr.burns
Hi JimmyJack, thanks for reply, but the circle was just a simple example. What I need is really a tool that allows a gradient follow a path.
