luiza177 Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 I'm on Windows 11, running Affinity Designer 2.3.0. I've had repeated crashes at random moments, but one I can ALWAYS reproduce is trying to open Settings. As soon as it's opened, AD crashes. I can't check whether I have hardware acceleration for that reason. Quote
Hangman Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 Hi @luiza177 and welcome to the forums, It may be worth running a factory reset by holding the Ctrl Key down while launching Designer, leaving the first three options checked in the Clear User Data window that appears then clicking Clear and letting Designer finish launching (hopefully). Let us know if that makes any difference. FabriXXIII Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 (edited) Hi, I have the same problem with both Affinity Designer and Photo 2.3.0 products. They close while I'm working (randomly but very frequently) without any error message, making any work impossible. This is my first experience with Affinity products and I have to say I am very disappointed. I had to go back to my old drawing program! I hope there is a solution to this annoying problem. I also highlight the fact that there are no other applications that have the same problem on the PC. Komatös Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 @FabriXXIII Deactivate hardware acceleration under Settings -> Performance and see if this helps. FabriXXIII Posted January 6, 2024 Posted January 6, 2024 Thank you, this thing makes sense. So far I've done a quick test and I haven't had any problems. I'll do more important tests. I'm just wondering if this will impact performance. Quote

I only saw the reply now, sorry about the very delayed response. I've tried the reset, also tried disabling hardware acceleration while at it, still have the same issues Edited July 12, 2024 by luiza177 Quote
luiza177 Posted July 17, 2024 Author Posted July 17, 2024 I tried the alternate installers, or deleting user data, but now, whenever I even click the text box for inputting my account info, it crashes. Quote
