Designer - macOS - Export misrendering Gradient Overlay FX

Hello,

Gradient Overlay layer FX causes AD to incorrectly render objects with that attribute upon export, example below.

On the left is the incorrect export, on the right is how it appears in Export Persona. I'd be happy to supply the offending file to a private upload link for Dev review.

Once uploaded, please reply here to let me know - can you also please confirm;

• The format you were exporting to?
• The export settings used?
• Does this only occur from the Export Persona when exporting the slice, or also when exporting through File > Export?

Happy New Year @DanC no worries. File has been uploaded. Export to PNG. Bug happens from both Export persona and File > Export. There is a slice set up in the export persona, just open up the  settings from there and you will see, just a standard PNG with alpha.

I've been able to replicate this issue with your file - it appears to be caused when using Opacity values for the Gradient Overlay FX (specifically the one applied to the Group in your document) when used in conjunction with an Artboard.

I'm getting this logged with our developers now, in the meantime if you delete the Artboard and choose to Keep All Objects, you should find this no longer occurs when exporting!

Ah ok good sleuthing, so opacity in gradient FX in objects in art board is the bug.… it’s like the film Inception but for bugs 🐜
