Can't add gradient to shape - don't think I made it correctly

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I wanted to create a ring inside another ring, but only at the bottom. So I created both rings and wanted to place the bottom of the blue ring inside the larger green ring. This is what I did:

Image#1 - Put blue ring on top of green ring in layer panel.

Image#2 - Copied green ring and created throw-away shape. Used "Intersect" boolean command.

Image#3 & #4 - Put resulting shape on top of layer stack

Image#5 - I wanted to add gradient to the green ring but cannot because of the shape I created to block out the bottom on blue ring.

Does anyone have any idea how I can add a gradient to the bottom green ring, without the shape I created blocking the blue ring out, affecting the gradient?

Thanks for reading
