vetteman1000 Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 I wondered if the Tolerance slider can be adjusted without using the mouse. In other words, is there a keystroke that is assigned to the Tolerance slider bar? Quote
Hangman Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Hi @vetteman1000 and welcome to the forums, Could you let us know which specific slider in which app you are referencing or do you mean any panel that uses a slider to adjust values? iconoclast Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 If there are input fields associated to the sliders, you can adjust them by clicking into that field once and then use the up and down arrow keys. The sliders should also be adjustable by using the scroll wheel of... - the mouse. So, I'm afraid I don't know any way to do it without the mouse. Quote
Hangman Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 There is a lot of inconsistency throughout the UI across the Affinity Apps, in some but certainly not all instances you can adjust a setting by horizontally click-dragging the field label with your mouse, e.g., the values in the Transform panel or the Text Styles panel but in other instances where the same should apply, e.g., stroke width in the stroke panel, this doesn't work... Likewise, you can adjust colour values in the RGB Hex Colour panel by click-dragging the RGB and Hex labels but you can't do the same in any of the other Colourspace panels apart from greyscale. Ideally, the entire UI needs to be reviewed to make all panels consistent in terms of functionality... thomaso Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 The Help gives an overview of existing shortcuts (whereas by app default not every existing menu entry got a shortcut assigned). https://affinity.help/designer2/English.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Workspace/shortcuts.html?title=Keyboard shortcuts Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
iconoclast Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 One additional hint: If you e.G. want to increase or decrease the brush size, there are of course short keys for it. "[" and "]" as far as I remember (I changed them to "." and ",". Some things can be adjusted this way with short keys. But because the number of keys on the keyboard has it's boundaries, not everything can be covered with short keys. Quote
