albertkinng Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 I am having difficulty adding a rectangle as a background in Publisher. It appears to be impossible. I have checked the settings, but something seems to be amiss. The white background behind the text is preventing me from seeing what is behind it. There might be a bug causing this issue. This situation is quite frustrating. CleanShot 2023-12-19 at 08.40.28.mp4 Quote Ask for my services: albertkinng.com
carl123 Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 Back in the Publisher Persona check the Text Frame panel and make sure the Fill colour is set to transparent (i.e. not white) Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. By selecting the text and accessing the Designer mode to apply a 'multiply' filter to the layer, I was able to make it work. However, it's clear that this issue requires a more permanent and comprehensive solution. Quote Ask for my services: albertkinng.com
walt.farrell Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 If the Text Frame panel setting wasn't responsible for the problem, try the Paragraph panel. Under Decorations, if you have specified a Fill, you could get similar effects: If that doesn't explain it, a sample .afpub document that illustrates the problem would be useful. stokerg 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
