filippoguidarelli Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 When I make a search based on - character styles - selection Im'm gaining a mess of results: the first one is correct, the others are not. Also, the incorrect results are the same result repeated many times, and it's impossibile to select. Quote
eduardotanco Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Hi, can you provide an example file of the issue to further investigate?, I had this issue before, but was hidden text in the text frame that was detected if i remember. Quote

I tested with a Character Style, not a Paragraph Style. Try changing the "Ambito" to something other than Selezione and see if you get an expected result. Regardless, there appears to be a bug here. filippoguidarelli 1 Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. MikeTO Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 I struggled to duplicate but then realized there was an extra requirement. The bug occurs only when you search for a character style, set Scope to Story or Selection, and enter some text into the Find field. If the Find field is blank then the bug will not occur. Here's a fuller description of the bug. Enter "test test test" into a new doc's frame, where test is formatted with Strong. Search for "test" and character style = Strong with Scope set to Document and you will get one result. Repeat the test with Scope set to Story or Selection (select the text if you use Selection) and you will get three results - it finds all three instances of "test" even though only one has the character style applied filippoguidarelli 1 Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.6 for macOS Sequoia 15.5, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)
