Markus Bärtschi Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 The installation of either of the Affinity 2 Program is ending with: Fehler bei der App-Installation. Fehlermeldung: Interner Fehler 0x800700B7. Weitere Informationen zum Diagnostizieren von Problemen bei der Bereitstellung von Apps finden Sie unter "http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=235160". (0x800700b7) I have a new computer. On the old computer I have installed the three affinity 2 programs. It may be, that I have copied some files of Affinity onto the new computer. Is it possible, that the installation programm is looking after old Affinity files on my computer, and because it is not finding a complete installation but only some files, it is ending with the above mentioned error? Thank you very much for your help in advance. Kind regards Markus Quote
walt.farrell Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. Please confirm what release of Windows you're running, and show the output of the winver command run from a command prompt. Perhaps the steps in this FAQ will help with the installation: Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Markus Bärtschi Posted December 15, 2023 Author Posted December 15, 2023 Tank you very much for your answer. My Windows-Version is: Windows 11 Version 23H2 (Build 22631.2861) I have tried the installation from my admin account, to no avail. The updates for windows 11 itself are installed with no problems. Untill now, the FAQs have not been helpful for me Quote
kenmcd Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 This appears to be a Windows issue. https://duckduckgo.com/?q="0x800700b7" I looked at many of the search results and did not find a definitive answer. Most of the results are regarding Windows update, not installing applications. Some of the results are regarding the Windows Store. What version did you install, the store version or the EXE/MSI files? If you installed the store version, try installing from the files instead. Quote
