Bad help

I don't use Affinity Designer very much and I'm still very disappointed by its really poor Help!
I try to search for 3D or Geometry and find nothing!
In the video tutorials nothing the same
Where can I find complete documentation? exists ?

What exactly do you mean with "3D" and "Geometry"? Designer has not many 3D-functions. The only one to create plastical effects is the 3D-function in the "FX"-panel. You find the button to open it at the bottom of the "Layers" panel. But Designer doesn't work with meshes. Here is the online help file about this topic.

"Geometry" is in Designer the name for Boolean operations. You can find a tutorial here. I think you already read this Help file, did you?

If there are some points, that are not clear to you, please ask for more specific explanation on that certain points.

Anyway i really need some simple extrusion feature but i'm looking that AFD have not

Depends on the way you search here, if you use the Online Help and serach after the terms 3D or FX effects in ADe then you should get some short explanation help results.

• 3D Effect
• Quick FX Panel
• ...

 

Other than that, a dedicated Google search over just the forum here (or the Affinity online help) for abover terms (3D, FX effects), will give you also a bunch of related threads back ...

Hm, the 3D-function has a lot more options in my Designer version (2). And I don't know what "Raggio" means. What version do you have? Is it an iPad version? In that case you ask in the wrong category. This is the forum for desktop versions.

For the "Geometry" functions, there are also some buttons in the bar at the top of the GUI, below the menus, but on the right side. Look at the screenshot.

If you have two or more shapes or curve objects, you can select both by simply clicking both of them with the Move Tool (you can do that even in the "Layers" panel) and then merge them by clicking the left button. If they overlap, you can also substract one shape or curve object from the other with the second button. The third button gives the intersection. And so on. Simply test it. And also take a look at the Shape Builder Tool, that helps to make some things easier and quicker.

Did you type any search text for that screenshot? – What result does your menu display if you enter a search keyword, "3D" for instance?

I ask because it is not clear from your screenshot with the grayed-out entry "Search" ("Cerca").

• Are you unable to type anything in the search text field?
• What macOS are you using?
