Solaris909 Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Having an issue using Wacom Intuos Pro tablet with Affinity. There are two features of using a drawing tablet: the width of the stroke, and the opacity. At the moment with Affinity I am getting the pressure sensitivity for the width of the stroke. But the opacity is not registering. Drawing tablet doesn't work at all if I don't select this "force pressure" button (that is the name that appears on hover). In the box labeled "More" there are more settings, but none seem to trigger into effect the opactity on pressure part. Affinity the app is added in my Wacom driver. So... the opacity doesn't register, is there a secret trick I am missing? A certain setting? Has anyone else encountered this? Any suggestions? Thank you Quote
Staff Lee D Posted December 18, 2023 Staff Posted December 18, 2023 @Solaris909 Once you've click the "More" button, try setting the Accumulation slider to around 50%. Then on the Dynamics panel change the Accumulation option to Pressure on the dropdown menu. These may need customising to suit your needs as you use the brush. Quote

Since I posted this a few weeks ago, I've been playing around more. It depends on the brush. So, thankfully no fix needed. I feel a little enmbarrassed I didn't figure this out sooner. I was using the "Basic" brushes, which essentially just puts color on the page. As I played around with Acrylics and Gouache for example, the pressure sentitivity works as expected. Then some settings can be tweaked to suit. But at least you've reminded me there are a lot of settings for each brush that cna be manipulated. Regards Quote
