thermidor Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 I had Publisher when it was in Beta. Consequently its iCloud folder was called Affinity Publisher Beta. At some point, long after the Beta ceased to be relevant, one of my machines ended up with an Affinity Publisher folder and the other with Affinity Publisher Beta still. I tried to merge these and found I couldn't. I followed various suggestions which didn't really work, but at some point seemingly without any further intervention both machines were seeing the same Affinity Publisher folder. Everything was fine for a while. I've just rebuilt my Mac Studio and it's created a new Affinity Publisher folder on iCloud Drive, alongside the original. Now my MacBook can see one of these folders (the correct original one with all my data in), and my Studio can see two folders, both called Affinity Publisher, and both containing a single document I just created on the Studio. If I log into iCloud Drive I can see two folders, but one has the content I can see on the MacBook, and the other has the content I can see on the Studio. Both machines are running up-to-date Sonoma. Any suggestions to fix this? It's really irritating... kind of wish I hadn't used the Beta now! Quote

You'll likely find this will correct itself but you can try signing out of iCloud on all devices and back in to force a resync. But we have very little control, if any, over iCloud at this stage and how it syncs and updates between devices. Quote
Bryan Rieger Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 I have the same issue. Rebuilt my Mac (macOS 14.2) and now I have two identical Affinity Publisher (v2.3) folders containing the exact same file (and the Photo icon has disappeared). FYI I had zero Publisher folders before as it was never created by Publisher. I'm not sure what the deal is with Affinity apps and iCloud app folders, but I've always had problems with them—usually not showing up, wrong icons, etc. I've never had any issues with other apps using iCloud folders so… logic would lead me to believe it's (yet another) Affinity issue.
