dcat99 Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 I am having to do afresh install as my Mac had a complete install of operating system due to repair. All 3 apps stick on verifying so I have to force quit. All installed correctly. Mac on sonoma 14.1.2. What is stopping the apps launching? Quote
MikeTO Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 Hi @dcat99 sometimes this happens when installing a macOS app. The problem isn't with the Affinity apps but with macOS verifying them. First, check that you installed the apps in your Applications folder. Second, restart macOS - that may resolve the issue, a system process may have gotten stuck. Third, if it still hangs on verifying (which is macOS checking that it's a safe app), go get a coffee or leave it until the next morning. If you're not comfortable using Terminal to bypass the verification step, it's better to just let macOS do its thing. Good luck.
