Charter Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 Despite having the same text properties selected, see arrows, on one page page of my document the text appears thin (see bottom field) compared to the usual appearance of the text density (see top field). Re-selecting the text and attempts to correct thinning fails. Quote
MikeTO Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 Have you by chance formatted the text with a white stroke which would make the text look thinner? If so you can fix it by opening the Colour panel and with the text selected, select stroke (not fill) and then click the no stroke icon. Charter Posted December 10, 2023 Author Posted December 10, 2023 Thanks for the advise MikeTO but I do not see where one formats "text wit a white stroke"; can you help to direct me to where I look for that feature? Quote
GarryP Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 There are a number of ways, one of which is to select the text layer and then look in the Swatches Panel. If the Stroke Colour – see red arrow in attached screenshot – is not “None” (red diagonal line through the circle) then change it to None (press the near-by red diagonal line icon). If that doesn’t work, select the text itself and then check the Swatches Panel, doing as above if there is a stroke colour set. Note: Conversely, rather than a white stroke being added to the 'thin text', there may be a black stroke added to the ‘thick text’ so check that too. If that doesn’t work, please give us a full-screen screenshot where we can see the text selected in the text layer and the Swatches Panel and Layers Panel and the Character Panel. Quote

Or look in the Color panel for the same thing. You can also look in the Stroke panel to see if the "No Line Style" option in the Style: section is enabled or just make sure the Width: slider is all the way to the left & the field shows a zero. Charter Posted December 10, 2023 Author Posted December 10, 2023 Thank you guys. It was the stroke panel set to 0.2 pt, see arrow in attached, StrokePanel=0.2 pt.jpg. I selected the text, slid the slider to zero and it is now fixed see attached ThinnedFixed.jpg 🫠 . Thanks again. Charter MikeTO 1 Quote
