Weird Behavior in Publisher

I have noticed that Publisher is freezing up and doing some weird stuff lately. First, it freezes up when there is an update or just closes/disappears. Since I don't have notice of when it will happen, it has been eating my work as the "recovered" copy does not always come back.

 

Also, I am not able to paste or copy in my document. It is sporadic so it doesn't happen all the time. But when it does, if I go to copy something and paste it elsewhere, it just doesn't paste. It won't work with the keyboard or mouse (I'm on a Win 11 pro PC). I seems like the only thing I can do to fix it is restart my system. Closing the program itself does not solve the issue.

 

Anybody else having this kind of ghost in their system?

Random freezes that don't seem to have any pattern are often associated with the GPU. You should check if your graphic card drivers are fully up to date. if they are, you could try disabling hardware acceleration to see if that helps.
