Perseus1 Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Hello. We started using Affinity Publisher - which we love. Now we produced a pdf to upload to Bookvault our printers. The page split into two. Please see the image attached. Are we doing something wrong? When we used pages or indesign this never occured. So to be clear we want to know why it is only saying 124 pages and not 247 as it should. Thanks Quote
Hangman Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Hi @Perseus1 and welcome to the forums, It looks as though you've exported your file as spreads rather than as individual pages... You can change the setting in the PDF Export options dialog window, assuming you've set your file up using Facing Pages... PaulEC Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 This is an ongoing problem when exporting PDFs that have been designed as facing pages but need to be exported as single pages! Printers invariably want single pages but for some reason, known only to Serif, they insist on defaulting the export to how the document was laid out, rather than letting the user set the default to what they want! I'm afraid that you just have to remember to change the setting every time you export as PDF! ☹️ Quote Acer XC-895 : Core i5-10400 Hexa-core 2.90 GHz : 32GB RAM : Intel UHD Graphics 630 – Windows 11 Home - Affinity Publisher, Photo & Designer, v2 (As I am a Windows user, any answers/comments I contribute may not apply to Mac or iPad.)
