pixelshrink
Hi, when I export an image to Webp (on all Windows apps), the default preset is Best quality (100%) - is there a way of changing the default preset to a different one please? GarryP
You can create your own preset (via the ‘hamburger' menu in the Advanced tab of the Export Dialog) and use that instead, or use one of the other presets that are already there – see attached image. FWIW, I don't know why it should be any different but on my Mac that hamburger menu appears in the File Settings section, not in the Advanced one: Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.4.2 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 Affinity Photo 1.10.8; Affinity Designer 1.108; & all 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
GarryP
I’m waiting for the TV series where Laurence Fishburne asks viewers to consider the many differences/quirks in the UIs: “Are they secret messages placed there by the Illuminati, or are they signs that aliens are controlling our software experience, or are they glitches in some cosmic computer?” “Find the answers to these questions and more, next on ‘Mysteries of the Affinities’, after the break.”
Pšenda
Since there is "Presets" management in the hamburger menu, so the location of this menu in the Advanced section is a big quirk for Win developers. The menu should be right next to the selection of Presets, or in the File Settings section, where Presets are selected (to ensure consistency in the placement of the hamburger menu).
