George86 Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 Hello, I have few .afpub files and when I export them to .pdf some of them are scrollable and some just switches between pages. Where are the presets to change this behavior located? Googling and checking document settings numerously didn't help me to find what Im looking for Quote
GarryP Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 As far as I know there’s no way to specify this ‘scroll vs. flip’ behaviour in the Affinity applications. Are you viewing the PDFs on the same machine and in the same reader software? Are the PDFs comparable in relation to their set-up, e.g. single-page versus facing pages, etc? Quote

BTW what should be the default scrolling? 2. Everything is the same. 3. Everything is pretty much the same - just different size in millimetres and handling pictures + some other minor changes like handling anchors. 54 minutes ago, lacerto said: PDFs do support setting the initial view (the way pages are switched and how they are zoomed, and in which kind of a window they are shown, with what controls, and whether full-screen, etc.), but Affinity apps do not support setting these options when creating PDFs. PDF viewer apps can also choose to ignore document-defined initial views, or may allow the user to override them, e.g. browser plugins often ignore internal view and zoom settings, but may offer preferences of their own. If you are on PC, e.g. PDF/X-Change (if I remember correctly, also the free version) allows you to specify Initial View settings in an already produced PDF file, which is useful if your audience will use PDF viewers that honor internal settings. But as mentioned, in many cases you cannot control the way the users will view PDFs you have created. Thanks for the software hint. 👍 Quote

(There’s a chance that it could be different depending on the document step-up but I can’t say.) I thought it was one thing but a quick test proved me wrong so some experimentation may be needed.
