ashr Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 hi, with the recent update of both affinity 2 designer for ipad and ipad update to ios17.1, the affinity app seems to be lagging for a while i cannot open any folders/artboards. It doesn’t open, it’s like this for sometime now.(pic below). Quote Affinity designer, For iPad Pro m2 6th generation, iOS17.1.2.
Staff stokerg Posted December 5, 2023 Staff Posted December 5, 2023 Hi @ashr, Would you be able to save that as an afdesign file? See here for info on how to do that and either attach the file or upload it to our Dropbox here. Also can you try a Forced restart of your iPad as outlined here and see if that improves things? Quote

Staff stokerg Posted December 6, 2023 Staff Posted December 6, 2023 Hi @ashr, Do any of your files have SVG files placed inside them? For the one you showing in the recording, it can be difficult to recover a file when its in that state. But if you have access to a PC/Mac you can connect your iPad to, you might be able to recover it by following the steps on this post. Due to the Sandboxed nature of iPad apps, its always best to Save your projects from the home screen in Affinity, as it just ensures you have an actual copy of the file, outside of the sandbox. Quote
