I am trying to create artwork for screen printing.  I need to convert the "Vistra" logo to curves and it is greyed out.  I have tried this in Publisher, Designer and PHoto.  Screen print said the shield is in vector, but the Vistra part is not.  And I cannot upload my files here so you can see what I am trying to do.

Convert to Curves only works for vector-based layers (shapes etc.); it does not work for bitmaps/rasters.

You might be able to separate the vector parts of the design from the non-vector parts, and then use Convert to Curves, but I have no idea if that will be a good enough solution for you since I can’t see what you are working with.

Is the reason why you cannot upload the files one of privacy/copyright, or are you simply having trouble doing so?

Nothing is copyrighted.  Please forgive my ignorance if this is a dumb question, but isn't a .eps file a vector graphic?  That is what I placed in the document that I need to convert to curves.  File just sits in uploading mode and doesn't actually attach.

The EPS file can still contain raster elements which sounds likely to be the issue with your file...

Try Zipping your file and then attaching it to see if it will upload, failing that can you provide a URL to the logo in question or a reference to the website as there are many companies called Vistra...

Hi @Shelly,

Could you change the Linked EPS file so it's embedded, re Zip and re-upload otherwise we don't have access to the EPS element.

That EPS is just an embedded pixel layer. No vector information at all.

Note: Try and use anything other than EPS files as they are being deprecated by Microsoft and Adobe and other software companies.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Hi @Shelly,

See how you get on with the attached files. I've included an Affinity Designer file and an SVG version for you.

Obviously tweak the blue and green accordingly if they're meant to be specific colour values...
