Phil Jackson Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 I have an image which when printed from the .afphoto document prints with washed out colours but when printed as a jpeg with the same print settings and media, prints ok. The attached image of the two printswas taken in artificial light so the colours are not strictly accurate but the difference between the two is obvious. The jpeg print is the one on the left. I use Windows 11, OS Build 22631.2715 and a Canon TS6052 printer. Both were printed from Affinity Photo 2. Would welcome any help on explaining the cause of the difference in the two prints. Quote

Phil Jackson Posted December 5, 2023 Author Posted December 5, 2023 Hi Outfi Thank you for that. It prompted me to look more closely at profiles. In the Document menu is the option to Convert Format/ICC Profile. I found both files had the same profile, but different formats. The jpeg format was RGB/8 but the afphoto format was RGB/32(HDR). When I changed this to RGB/8, the document printed fine. In the Print dialogue window, the Profile (top item) is set as Custom. Do I need to change this and if so, to what? Once again, many thanks for your help. Quote
