Myke Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 I been using the pencil tool a lot tracing maps and then zooming into get it more accurate with clicking sculpt button but a number of things happen as it seems not to reliable in extending or changing the curve. I click on line I wanted by holding down mouse longer before moving. It sometimes works fine for awhile then another five minutes redoing the three odd versions of sculpt I did not plan for: 1) it starts a new line and I have to delete and try again. Takes a number of times over 10-15+ goes before I get it right 2) It adds another line doubling it, this can be very frustrating to delete, most time it just better to restart the line 3) It changes the direction and look depending how far or near you are at red node square. Absolute bonkers, dont see the point in this it feels random and be a fluke to like it. When dealing with moving the node if not zoomed in close (which is a pain to do when you want to see all of what you doing) it pics up the blue angle kinda wish they were say like triangles to keep them different. Really like to see an improvement and maybe use control button to add strands to the same line curve. clicking on fine lines is a problem and the white circle nodes could be good to help, but as I said before it can be unpredictable in clicking the line curve. The node tool recomend a lasso as default and use the option key to make square select not the other way round. Quote

What is 'it' ? 3 hours ago, Myke said: When dealing with moving the node if not zoomed in close (which is a pain to do when you want to see all of what you doing) it pics up the blue angle kinda wish they were say like triangles to keep them different. Regarding the node handles, almost every app out there uses smaller circles to indicate the node handles end point. Maybe a change of colour for the node handles would be a better option because the node handles are the same colour as the nodes and I can see how that would be confusing at times. 3 hours ago, Myke said: The node tool recomend a lasso as default and use the option key to make square select not the other way round. Command/Ctrl makes a rectangular selection, Option is free-hand, can't see any benefit to changing that. loukash 1 Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more...
