Since version 2.2 I have a problem with publisher images when exporting a PDF. I have tried with 2.3 and the problem persists. I had to reinstall version 2.1 which works fine and does not give this problem. I hope they solve this soon because I see that the same thing happens to more people and it is not possible to use the program to work. Gradients appear with highly visible bands that make the document unusable.

Hi @Rafa Cambra,

Are you able to provide an Affinity document which exports correctly in 2.1 and incorrectly in 2.2/2.3 here for me?

Can you please also confirm the PDF export settings you are using, and the application you are viewing the exported PDF in?

Many thanks in advance :)

Hi Dan, I send you a test export with V2.1 in medium quality and another with the same parameters in version 2.3, I assure you that in version 2.2 gives exactly the same problem as 2.3. As you can see the gradient of the image (also attached) exported with version 2.1 looks correct and with versions 2.2 and 2.3 appears banding and broken colour. I have tried to open the PDF in PDF24 Reader and in Adobe Acrobat Pro and the problem is exactly the same in both programs. I hope you can solve this. @Rafa Cambra, you forgot to include the JPEG file of the chair.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Many thanks for providing that for me!

I've exported your file to PDF using the exact same export settings in v2.1.1 and v2.3 - both PDF files look exactly the same and no excessive visual banding can be seen:

Can you please confirm for me, what app are you using to view the exported PDF file?

When opening the .afpub file in 2.3, please navigate to Window > Resource Manager - what does this linked JPEG show for the 'Status' here?

Thanks once again :)
