There are often times during very complex cutouts where I would love to be able to quickly combine selections with the Pen Tool. Some portions of a cutout are better suited to the Selection Brush or Lasso, and others require the precision of the Pen Tool. And sometimes you don't realize you need the Pen Tool until you are deep into your selection.

Currently, we can convert a Pen Curve into a selection, however doing so will remove any existing selections that have been made. So if you wish to add a curve to an existing selection, you first need to save out your selection to a spare channel, convert your curve to a selection, then right click on that spare channel and choose "Add to Pixel Selection". Then rinse and repeat for every new curve you want to add while creating a bunch of unnecessary spare channels.

It would be great if we didn't have to jump through these hoops and had the option to just choose a merge mode when converting a curve in the first place. I could stay focussed on the task at hand and not have to think about juggling my spare channels and making sure I saved the selection before switching tools.
