Word spacing does not change when I adjust the style

I would like it to flow differently, the words are too far apart. However, if I change the maximum word spacing in the style, NOTHING happens. I'm at a loss right now, what can I do?

Maybe it's also the settings for word separation, I just remembered? Is there such a thing somewhere?

Ich möchte, dass das anders fließt, die Wörter haben einen zu großen Abstand. Wenn ich jedoch im Style das Maximum für den Wortabstand ändere, passiert NICHTS. Stehe gerade auf dem Schlauch, was kann ich tun?

Vielleicht liegt es auch an den Einstellungen für die Worttrennung, fällt mir gerade noch ein? Gibt es so etwas irgendwo?

It looks like you are using “Justify Left” on the paragraph – see attached image.

This setting will often get you wide word spacings as the software tries to extend the space between the words so that the line fits the frame/column width.

I found it, is twas the word separation, it was deactivated in the text style.
