Mmillecamps
Hi, I'm tracing a comic in Affinity Photo.I get this, tried loads of things and different brushes, but when I draw over a line that is already drawn I get this darker black on top of it. How can I make sure it is all the same color? Also the brushes seem quite pixelated, I zoomed in of course, but it's still pretty noticable, is this normal?Designer is not an option as everything will be colored with inks and flats. thanks
Staff Sean P Posted April 7, 2016 Staff Share Posted April 7, 2016 Hi Mmillecamps,This is caused by the Wet Edges option you have enabled on the Context Toolbar. It is intended to reproduce the effects of a wet paint brush giving a water colour feel. Disabling this will give you the effects you desire.Regarding the pixelation you have a 16 pixel brush set which means your brush will be 16 pixels wide - which appears to be the case. If the document is for print it is suggested to use a DPI of 300, as opposed to a DPI of say 96 (which is recommended for screen viewing only). Mmillecamps
@ sean thanks a lot, works with the brushes now. :-)I set the document to 400 DPI, CMYK and fogra39. So let's hope it looks okay in print. THANKS
